Prayer & Spirituality
BASIC CATHOLIC PRAYERS
"When you do not receive communion…you can make a spiritual communion, which is a most beneficial practice; by it the love of God will be greatly impressed on you" – St. Theresa of Avila
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
“When we feel the love of God growing cold, let us instantly make a Spiritual Communion. When we cannot go to the church, let us turn towards the tabernacle; no wall can shut us out from the good God.” – St. John Marie Vianney
